Please only apply if you live in London. However brilliant you are, we need you to be able to join in-person meetings with the team and clients.

A word on Fact&Fiction

We're a marketing consultancy, not a traditional agency. We work with B2B, membership, and consumer-facing organisations as an extension of their teams, bringing the strategy, direction, and hands-on delivery they need without the cost and complexity of building it in-house.

Our team blends senior leadership experience with practical delivery. We pull together the right people for each client—account leads, digital specialists, designers, and delivery support—and we work transparently, commercially, and collaboratively.

The role

We're growing and we need someone who can keep up. This is a hands-on delivery role, but it's not about ticking tasks off a list. We want someone who understands what good marketing looks like, cares about what goes out, and brings real curiosity to the work.

Day to day, you'll be working across multiple clients and projects—social, email, content, CRM, websites, campaigns, and events. You'll be part of a wider team, supporting and being supported by account leads, digital specialists, and designers.

A core part of the role is coordination: making sure everything is joined up, stakeholders know what they need to do and when, and the output is accurate and on-brand.

We work remotely most of the time, so you'll need to be organised and self-directed. You also need to know when to crack on and when to ask. Both matter equally.

In the early stages particularly, there will be regular in-person time, client meetings, team sessions, and working alongside colleagues—which could easily be weekly. It's how you'll get up to speed quickly and it's genuinely valuable, so proximity to London matters.

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract. We're looking for the right person for the long term, and for someone who fits and delivers, the intention is to extend and move to a longer-term role.

What you'll be doing

The mix varies by client, but across the week you'll typically be working on some combination of:

  • Social media: planning and scheduling content across multiple client accounts, organic and paid, and writing social copy from briefs.
  • Email and newsletters: building and sending campaigns via Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
  • CRM and data: supporting list management, data cleaning, and audience segmentation to make sure campaigns are targeted and relevant; working with the wider team to source and update reporting dashboards.
  • Website updates: maintaining client sites via CMS, keeping content accurate and current; we use Sanity but client setups vary.
  • Content: following content plans and contributing written content where needed; social copy is a baseline expectation, with longer-form articles something to grow into.
  • Creative assets: working from design team templates and brand assets to create social tiles, decks, and newsletters in Canva; having an eye for what looks right and what is off-brand is essential.
  • Campaign coordination: keeping activity across channels joined up, making sure stakeholders know what they need to input and when.
  • Events: supporting on event marketing and logistics where needed.
  • Reporting: pulling performance data from GA4 and other tools and turning it into clear, useful insight.
  • Client meetings: joining calls and in-person meetings as needed, confidently and professionally.

The channels are one part of it. The other part is making sure what goes out is well-written, accurate, on-brand, and thought through.

Tools and platforms

You don't need to be an expert in all of these, but you should be confident across the mix:

  • Social and paid: LinkedIn organic and paid, AdWords, and wider social platforms as required.
  • Email: Mailchimp and HubSpot most commonly; experience with others is fine.
  • CMS: we use Sanity; what matters is a solid understanding of how CMS platforms work.
  • CRM: hands-on experience with CRM platforms and using data for targeting and segmentation.
  • Analytics: GA4 and similar; comfortable reading dashboards and knowing what the numbers mean.
  • SEO and GEO: working knowledge of the basics.
  • Design and content: Canva for creating and adapting assets from templates.
  • Project management: Monday.com.
  • AI tools: comfortable using tools like Claude or ChatGPT to support drafting, research, and workflow.
  • Google Workspace: Docs, Sheets, Slides.
  • ReadyMembership: a genuine bonus for our membership sector work.

What we're looking for

Experience and skills

  • 3 or more years in marketing, ideally in an agency, consultancy, or multi-client environment.
  • Strong copywriting skills and a real eye for detail; you notice when something is off and you sort it before it goes out.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms and using data to inform campaign targeting and segmentation.
  • Confident coordinating and delivering across multiple channels simultaneously.
  • Organised and deadline-focused; able to juggle competing priorities without losing track of the detail.
  • Comfortable with data and reporting; able to read a dashboard, draw conclusions, and communicate them clearly.
  • Familiar with brand guidelines and confident working within them across different client brands.

How you work is just as important

  • You take initiative and bring solutions, not just problems.
  • You know when to crack on and when to ask.
  • You're curious about why things work, not just what needs doing.
  • You can hold several things in your head at once and still get the details right.
  • You're based in or near London, or able to travel in regularly, particularly in the early months.

What's in it for you

We're a small team, which means your work is visible and it matters. You'll get real variety, exposure to the full marketing mix, and the chance to understand how strategy translates into delivery across different clients and sectors.

  • Variety across clients, sectors, and types of work.
  • Exposure to strategic thinking, not just delivery.
  • A team that's collaborative, experienced, and straight-talking.
  • Remote-first working.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro-rated for fixed term).
  • Employer pension contribution.
  • Regular team socials.
  • A genuine path to a longer-term role for the right person.
